Registration
To register for Town of Hancock Alerts, please click on the following link: New Registration; or, you may register by Smartphone by texting "HANCOCKALERTS" to 24639.
To access the Town of Hancock Alerts website; please click on the "New Registration" link above.
Alert Groups
When registering you will have the option to sign up for a couple of groups to receive alerts. We have kept the options limited so as not to inundate you with too much information. If you initially registered, but didn't check off on a group, you can go back and edit your account at any time.
The two groups are:

- When registering, please be sure to use a current browser such as Google Chrome.
- Please include your location/ address when you register. If you have already registered, you can go back and update your information. Your location information is important as we can direct messages to certain locations in town.

Alert Groups

The two groups are:
- Water System User Alerts - This group will provide you with alerts pertaining to the Hancock water system. If you are a resident on town water, you may want to consider signing up. Alerts to include water main breaks, hydrant flushing, boil orders, water testing discrepancies, etc...
- (Urgent) Non-Emergency Alerts - This group will provide you with alerts pertaining to road closures, road hazards (trees down, rocks in roadway, icy conditions, etc.)
- Emergency Alerts - Everyone who signs up for Town of Hancock Alerts is automatically included in this group. Alerts in this group will pertain to life-threatening/ imminent danger events - Shelter in place, mass casualty event, active shooter, EOC activation event – weather related, etc… Through Town of Hancock Alerts, the Town also has access to public population data. In the event of an emergency, emergency alerts may be sent to individuals who are not registered forTown of Hancock Alerts, but their information is available in the public population data.
