Village Planning Committee Minutes

Monday, April 6, 7 pm

Present: Present: Kurt Grassett, Dennis Rossiter, Tom Pisaturo, John Jordan, Mary Covington, David Drasba, Howard Mansfield, Mike Fallon

Absent: Jim Gamble

 

 

1. Meridian meeting. Kurt, Mike, and David reported on the first meeting with the engineers at their office in Amherst. The engineers say they can meet the schedule. The details of the first public meeting were discussed using David’s outline. The engineers will present boards showing a palette of possible design solutions.

 

2. Meeting outline. Laurie Bryan will moderate the meeting. Jim Marshall from NHDOT may attend. Jim Gamble will record the meeting’s comments on a flip chart. David will check with the engineers to see that the necessary charts, projectors and screens are in place. Howard and David will present for the VPC at the meeting.

John reported that the Selectboard is discussing holding a special town meeting once the design is complete.

 

3. Definition of problems. Tom’s edited list was accepted by the committee. It will be sent to the engineers and worked into the presentation.

 

4. Getting the word out:

-- Mike prepared a contact list. Calls and emails were assigned to all.

-- Dennis’ press release to the Ledger was reviewed and accepted.

-- Mary will prepare a flyer and post it around town.

 

5. Next Meetings: Wed., April 8 – the meeting moderator will join us.
