VPC Minutes

Present: Mary Covington, David Drasba, Howard Mansfield, Tom Pisaturo, and John Jordan for the Select Board.

 

1. The committee reviewed our presentation at the Budget Advisory Committee meeting. John Jordan reported that the Budget Advisory Committee will not support any of the warrants that were presented.

 

2. A quick review of the calendar:

            -- Special VPC Public Informational Meeting: Feb. 3

            -- Budget Hearing: Feb 9.

-- March Happening deadline: Feb 22. VPC insert.

-- TM: March 14

 

3. The bulk of the meeting was spent preparing the presentation for Feb. 3 Public Meeting. Howard will open with the background, explaining the work that led to this stage of the Main St. improvements. Tom will present the warrant. David will walk everyone through the engineer’s proposal in detail. Mary will explain how this proposed work relates to our request for Federal Stimulus money. Kurt will talk about the reasons we need to do this project now, and how we will work with NHDOT’s plans.

 

4. Next meeting: Monday, Feb. 2, 7 p.m., library. We will have a dry run and critique of our public meeting presentation, which is on the following night.
