Town of Hancock Old Home Day Committee Meeting Minutes- June 30, 2012
Kary Shemway, representative of Hancock Baseball/Hancock Rec came in to talk about the 3 on 3 basketball tournament and the Junior Olympics (kids games and races).
Jenn presented soapbox derby rules and regulations. She will check in with the Hancock police about a place for the derby and the town administrator about insurance. Jenn will make a flyer about the derby to pass out on the 4th of July, to pass out at summer rec and to have at the Market.
B.J Hickman, magician, is confirmed to perform from 5:00 to 7:00 on Friday night. Rain space is the downstairs room in the Town Hall.
Committee walked through the events for the weekend and determined which events were confirmed and which needed more work.
Event coordinators will be e-mailed/mailed a letter inviting them to the meeting on July 14th.
We're hoping to complete the program of events by our meeting on July 20th.
OHD shirts will be on sale on Tuesday, July 3rd at 6:00 next to the Gazebo.
Committee is looking into asking a team/club to be in charge of emptying the trash cans on the weekend of OHD.
