The meeting convened in the Daniels Room of the Hancock Public Library at 7:00 PM. Those present viewed a video documenting the Plymouth Area Renewable Energy Initiative (PAREI) approach to installing solar hot water heating systems. PAREI's "energy raiser" mimics an Amish barn raising model in which professionals and volunteers assemble on a given day to put up the solar collectors and connections to the home owner's hot water tank.
Following the video, Bev and John made brief introductory statements about MERI and the process of Solar Hot water installation.
The remainder of the meeting/seminar was devoted to questions and answers.
