Minutes of the Water Commission Meeting

December 28, 2022

Attending:   Jeff Wilder, Kurt Grassett, Sean Kerwin, Joel Chandler

Meeting called to order at 4:30 PM

Monthly Reports –

The Commissioner's signed off on the monthly reports for November Kurt said that nothing unusual had taken place in either month. The overnight flow has dropped down to around 5 to 10 gallons a minute.

UV Light –

The commissioners reviewed the letter that KV Partners has sent of to DES for review. Kurt reviewed some of the backup discussions and email that had taken place. According to EPA regulations the water system will be required to treat with UV 95% or more of all water distributed to the public. The area of concern would be hydrant flushing. The proposal is to split hydrant flushing over a 2 month period to make sure we do not exceed the 95% rule, which would require a boil order to be issued.

Jeff has spoken with Dana and his well is connected and supplying his home with water. He is disconnected from the water system. The commissioners will send a letter acknowledging the disconnection and confirming that all debts are settled. It will also be noted that there will be no future connection to the water system.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 5:30 P.M.

Respectfully submitted,

Kurtis Grassett
