Minutes of the Water Commission Meeting

November 2nd, 2011

Attending:  Kurt Grassett, Sean Kerwin, Jeff Wilder and Linda Coughlan, Recording Secretary

The meeting began at 4:30 PM.

Dana Primiano

Jeff said he had called the meeting to update the commissioners on Dana Primiano's water situation. He said Dana is considering having a well put in instead of having Kurt try to fix the problem of water discoloration by forcing out the residue. Dana had asked that if he puts in a well, the commissioners waive the remaining balance for the Antrim Road upgrade to help defray the cost of the well.  The remaining balance was $1,927. After discussion, the commissioners decided to waive the balance if Dana installs a well before the next billing goes out. Jeff said he would call Dana to let him know and a letter will be written confirming their decision.

Kurt mentioned that at a recent meeting he had attended with a representative from Kelly Ayotte's office, he had spoken with a rep from Granite State Rural Water. Kurt said he had brought up the UV Filtration System and the boil water order that DES is requesting is put into place anytime the hydrants are flushed.  Kurt said the rep told him the subject would be brought up at the EPA level. Kurt said he would let the commissioners know the outcome.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 4.50 P.M.

Respectfully submitted,

Linda Coughlan,

Recording Secretary
