Hancock Recreation Committee Meeting Minutes 12/21/2011 Those in attendance: Cindy Hixson Jeff Called the meeting to order at 6:40 The minutes of the previous meeting were approved with the starting time of the meeting corrected to 6:35 from 6:05 as written. First order of business: Cindy Hixson reported that Kristen Lederman would like to have Zumba classes at the elementary school 1 or 2 days a week immediately after school. The class would be primarily for teachers at the school but others could attend. The question asked was if the Rec. Committee would consider sponsoring this program. Dan Harper to follow up with procedure for using the elementary school and details. Purpose of the meeting was to discuss and start planning for Winter Frolic. Winter Frolic events and activities were discussed. Kary will talk to preschool to see if they will want to sponsor breakfast as they did last year. The sled box race will be held at 11:00 am with possibility of an adult division this year. Roberta will talk to women's guild about hosting dinner as they did last year. Dan Harper suggested that the Mondadnock Milers running club may want to hold one of their winter races during winter frolic. He will contact them. The committee agreed to host lunch. Cindy to follow up. Possibility of getting lights for night sledding/skating during bonfire was discussed. Jeff will contact Nevin regarding bonfire.
