Meeting Minutes of  6/29/11 Old Home Day Committee

Meeting Room – Hancock Town Hall – 7 pm

 

Members Present: Kristen Bernier, Siobhain Martin, Bob Fogg, Dan Harper, Barb Ellis, Roberta LaPlante,

 

Updates:

  • Church will not be hosing Pancake Breakfast on Sunday
  • Barb has still not been able to confirm ponies with Giddy-Up.  She will continue to try before next meeting and explore other options.  Roberta will look into a contact as well
  • T-shirts and hats will be ready by Friday, July 1st.  Siobhan will pick up
  • Roberta and Dan LaPlante will retrieve the panels for the Art Show and will coordinate with Ellen Kidd.

 

T-shirts:

It was discussed and voted on unanimously (Siobhan Martin made motion, Kristen Bernier seconded) to update T-shirt pricing to $12 per T-shirt regardless of size (youth/adult) because our cost for the T-shirts is the same.  Hats will remain at $15 per hat.

 

Siobhan will sell T-shirts on the common during the band concert and Ice Cream Social before the fireworks on July 2nd.

 

We need to arrange for a cash box for sales.  Dan Harper has offered to keep table/tent/t-shirts in his barn for members to access when selling in the future

 

We need an Excel Spreadsheet to track color and size sales.

 

Mugs:

Kristen Bernier suggested selling commemorative mugs with Old Home Day logo.  The color options everyone liked best was china blue with navy blue logo.  We will order a quantity of 72 mugs and sell at $8 each.  Kristen Bernier made the motion, Roberta LaPlante seconded, committee voted unanimously in favor of this action.

 

Art Show:

Panels are now available for show.  Mrs. Von Mertens had authorized painting of the panels so long as the color is white.  Roberta will see about getting them early and keeping them in her barn for painting.

 

Action Items:

  • We need judges for parade

 

  • Need to get fund raising letters out.

 

  • Look into tent rental for possible rain during contra dance
