Library Trustees Meeting

July 27, 2011 Minutes

Present:

Laurie Bryan, Mary Garland, Amy Markus

Meeting began at 1:15 pm

Minutes of June 22, 2011 approved

No treasurer's report for this month.

Director's Report:

• $739.36 more still to come from Ducky Gardner bequest.

• Rennie Timm has accepted the Children's Librarian. She'll start training in early August. Britton's last day as Children's  Librarian is August 11.

• Gerry Varnum painter says west side of building needs paint most, south side needs mold washed off. $2000 to paint west side, not over $2000 if he needs to paint south side as well. Mary and Amy are working on interior colors for entryway. 2 interior walls $350 is the estimate. Board approved spending up to $2000 for exterior painting and up to $350 for interior painting.

• Book sale has been extended for a week after Old Home Days to allow townspeople to come in and browse. Numerous books have been donated.

• Library volunteer lunch at the Harris Center Sept. 23 is first choice, Sept.30^th is second choice.

No August meeting.

Next meeting is September 28^th at 1pm.
