Hancock Energy AdvisoryTeam
Minutes of Meeting
Present: Tom Faber, Kurt Grassett, Hank Huber, Phil Jones, John Jordan,
Absent: Nancy Gamble, Ron Mack
The meeting convened at 7:00 PM upstairs.
We welcomed new member Hank Huber.
The minutes of meeting, May 26, 2011 were approved.
We reviewed plans for the Saturday open house. In addition to previously assigned tasks, Phil agreed to bring a table cloth for the refreshments. John agreed to bring napkins and paper cups. Kurt agreed to consider a source of appropriate music.
OHD. We agreed to sponsor a "float" again. It will be modest since only Tom and John will be able to march. We will portray how recycling, photovoltaic, and weatherization are saving energy, carbon dioxide, and money for the town.
Revolving loans: Phil got approval to do some more research to see if funds are available to do macro (whole house) or micro (partial systems) for the benefit of private dwellings. The idea is to effect upgrading the efficiency of existing housing stock.
Education: John agreed to talk with Roberta LaPlant to see if HEAT and the Conservation Commission might collaborate to sponsor speaker(s) in the fall. Tom noted that Amy Marcus should be included in the planning and date picking.
We agreed to meet on July 14, 2011 at 7:00 PM in the town offices.
The meeting adjourned at 7:45 PM.
Respectfully, Phil Jones, Secretary pro temp
