MEETING MINUTES

November 18, 2010

Meeting Called To Order At:                             7:00 PM

--- The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM

 

--- Minutes

The minutes of the 21 October meeting were reviewed and accepted as written.

 

--- Common Area Definition

                  The Select Board agreed at their 25 October meeting with the limitation of the Common Commission areas of responsibility as discussed previously: The War Memorial area between the Pine Hill Cemetery and Old Dublin Road; the area north of the Town Hall; the area that includes the bandstand; the Fountain Triangle; and the trees and plantings along Main Street.

 

--- Trees and Plantings

An inspection by a Commission member of the small elm trees on the Common did not show scale insect infestation as was seen in the spring. Kurt will have the professional tree trimming service personnel also inspect these trees.

 

--- Other

                  A letter was sent to the Simpsons in answer to their October letter.

                  A request had been received from the Women's Club regarding the use of the Common for an event on 23 July 2011, similar to their "Historic Homes and Summer Gardens" tour last year. This was approved.

 

--- Budget

                  The budget as presented in the October minutes was submitted to the Select Board. The same is attached to these minutes

 

--- Next Meeting

                  It was voted to skip the December meeting and hold the next meeting on the third Thursday in January.
