Minutes

 

Members attending: Barb Caverly, Howard Mansfield, Cindy Amidon

 

It was agreed to accept the donation of a landscape plan of the Common created by Betty Gunther in 1939 and a series of reports on the town water system from the Hancock Historical Society.

 

We conducted a brief, visual assessment of some of the miscellaneous materials stored but not organized in the Archives Room and discovered some treasures:

• a box full of miscellaneous church documents, record books, and historical research dating from about 1800 to the 1960sá     
• a collection of original town documents in a tin box dating from the early 1900s
• an assortment of original town documents dating from the 1850s

 

We also discarded some outdated materials and empty boxes. Meeting adjourned about 8:30 p.m.
