Immediate Action Items

1. Leave the current blacktop area as is. (48') However, limit parking to angled parking on common side and parallel parking on the town office side.
   
   
2. Add short white lines to the parking area and make the area one-way from Route 137 to Old Dublin Road. Add directional signs as appropriate.
   
   
3. Place signs at Old Dublin Road end of parking area indicating additional parking is available behind the Town Offices.
   
   
4. Have a historically accurate, professionally designed landscape plan put in place for the Common
   
   

Intermediate Action Items

1. Add a walking path from the front parking area to the rear of the Town Offices to access the meeting room.
   
   
2. Add granite curbing to prevent vehicles from parking on the Common and to define the entire parking area as well as protecting and defining the entire Common.
   
   
3. Add new loam, re-seed and add underground irrigation system to the Common.
   
   
4. Add some type of screening in front of the parking area (hedge, fence) so that it is less visible from Main Street.
   
   
5. Eliminate the small turn around area that now exists on the Common (to the east of the flag pole) and reactivate the adjacent water fountain. Install a wood barricade as a temporary measure.
   
   
6. Replace the exterior lighting (located at the rear of the Town Office Building and adjacent to the common path) with less harsh lighting and more attractive light standards.

Longer term Action Items

1. Consider chip sealing the entire parking area when it is time to re-seal the parking area in the next 2 to 3 years.
   
   
2. Chip seal the current path through the Common at the same time.
