Summary of responses to scenic locales survey...

We received back 108 completed surveys from the 870 mailed to town residents. (A 12.4% response rate.)

Five questions were asked in the Scenic Locales Survey. The number of responses to each questions varied from 84 for #5, to 329 for #3. Some chose not to answer certain questions, and many had multiple answers for others.

Listed below are the top 3 or 4 responses for each question and the number of responses each received.

  1. Most of us experience the town while driving its roads. Imagine driving around Hancock 20 years from now. What scenic views do you especially hope will still be intact?

    • Norway Hill/Apple Orchard/Tree Farm - 17

  2. What are your favorite views in Hancock while hiking or boating?
