- WHERE:Common
- HOW AND WHY: The Hancock Energy Advisory Team will be handing out banana and strawberry smoothies.
- The mixing equipment will run on solar power (if the sun shines cooperatively) and the smoothies will be free, free, free.....although donations will certainly be welcome to help defray the cost of the ingredients.
- The power, of course, will cost nothing. And that is the point.
- Several programs, companies, and opportunities are "out there" waiting to help home owners set up their own solar electrical power generators and to take advantage of available, substantial, federal and state incentive reimbursements.
- You too may "power up" with free solar power.
- Drop by the Solar Smoothie booth, pick up a brochure or two, talk shop with the HEAT Committee, and yes, have a delicious smoothie.

If you're a kid who would love to sell your own products, then this event at Old Home Day is for you! In past years, kids have sold anything they have had a hand in creating, including lemonade, paintings, photographs, jewelry, soaps, home-grown vegetables, duct tape products, and lots of other things as well.
If you're interested in participating, just email
Monica Laskey-Rigrod at xfire00@netzero.net
or call 525.9485
to sign up for some table space,
and to communicate what you will be selling.
Table space will be provided on the Town Common directly after the parade, and you can sell your wares for up to an hour and a half, give or take. It's a fun way to earn some spending money for the rest of the day, and kids have had a great time even shopping at each other's tables!
Everyone is encouraged to stop by and check out (and maybe even purchase) the amazing things the kids in our community are creating at their own mini-version of Tradesmen's Alley.
It's sure to make their day, and yours!
