Date Night

Chicken BBQ & Contra Dancing - Treat someone special (or the whole family) to the delicious Chicken BBQ prepared by the Hancock Fire Department and then trip the light fantastic with Contra Dancing under the stars to live music and calling with Steve Zakon-Anderson on the Common, Saturday, August 20. You don't have to know how to dance to have a blast Contra Dancing, you just have to step up and the caller will guide you to the rest. It's a good old-fashioned barn dance-without the barn (or the smell of livestock).

Book donations are now being accepted - Book sale on Friday, August 19, and Saturday, August 20. The Friends of the Hancock Town Library are looking for all kinds of books (fiction, non-fiction, cookbooks and children's) as well as DVDs and CDs in good condition. No textbooks, Readers Digest Condensed Books, magazines or musty items, please. Really--please, check your books for mustiness. If they're musty they need to go to the dump and we'd rather not be the conduit! Book donations may be dropped off at the Library anytime we're open (please don't leave them on our doorstep) or call Nancy at 525.3531 or Amy at 525.4411 to arrange pickup.
